Burton Ritual LTD Women’s Boots: Who Might Ride ‘Em

Looking for a pair of feather-light snowboard boots that are downright sexy, know how to keep it sturdy and solid regardless of terrain, and that keep your toes warm mid-snowpocalypse? The Burton Ritual LTD are a trip and half, and… they might just be the happiest place for your feet and ankles to be this winter. As Burton says on its website, the women’s Ritual LTD boots are “the lightest high-end boot in the women's line.” And as I say, after days of standing sideways in them: Burton’s proclamation is definitely not fake news. The Burton Ritual LTDs are (waves small hands) tremendous.

“...the Burton Ritual LTD boots are certainly worth making a ritual out of.”

Airy without losing structure, form, or durability, the Burton Ritual LTD boots are certainly worth making a ritual out of. That is: get up and commence intravenous caffeination, pull on the Burton Ritual LTDs, ride however and wherever the fuck you want to. Recognize how lucky you are. Repeat.

On-Snow Feel

“...transitioning to the Burton Ritual LTDs was like switching from a secondhand Kia to a brand-new Beamer.”

After enduring my previous pair of boots, which made my toes go numb (why did I tolerate this?), transitioning to the Burton Ritual LTDs was like switching from a secondhand Kia to a brand-new Beamer. Nothing against Kias, and yeah Beamers are often douche-ish, but I think you get what I’m saying—the Burton Ritual LTDs are the high-end shit. They respond so very well through moguls and back bowls, trees and black diamonds. Not only does my carving feel sharper and my turns faster, but even my little baby jumps (I'm no jib kid) feel comfortable and aggressive at the same time.

Why Steer Clear of These Kicks

I think if you’re accustomed to the finite adjustability of a traditional lacing system, the Speedzone lacing system on the Burton Ritual LTD boots might be a little… disappointing? I mean, I’m totally fine with it. And even appreciate how quickly I can get in and out of my boots. But, for female riders who want the freedom to make as many micro-adjustments as is necessary (Pigpen is obsessive and adjusts to no fucking end, while I adjust here and there) throughout the course of a day, the Speedzone lacing system isn’t quite what you’re looking for. Sure, you’ll be able to adjust quickly and on the fly. But just not as definitively as you might want.

Why Pull on These Moonwalkers

I am obsessed with my Burton Ritual LTD boots. Sturdy but flexible, warm but breathable, and light as fuck. Honestly, for a Jersey girl who now lives in San Fransisco and makes good use of her Ikon Pass, the Burton Ritual LTD boots have dramatically changed the way I ride. Maybe they'll do the same for you? I think I know how you can find out...

Final Notes: Burton Ritual LTD Boots

To my fellow all-mountain riders: what are you waiting for? Go try on a pair of Burton Ritual LTD boots. Like now. I’m pretty damn sure you’ll dig them. And if not, send me a note and I’ll delete this Burton Ritual LTD review on the spot.

“These boots ain’t no side chick.”

But not really. Because I’m joking. And because I stand by my experience of the Burton Ritual LTD boots, and look forward to many more days with them on snow. These boots ain’t no side chick.
